| The original owner of the River Diamond Ranch home was Dr. C.C. Budde, who was the first dentist in Gettysburg, South Dakota back in the early 1900s. It was later sold to the current owner Joan Powell, and moved to an 80-acre tract of land high atop the Missouri River bluffs in Potter County. The home was built in 1921 in the Craftsman style, and has been completely reconstructed saving the classical woodwork, design, and timeless architecture. It is surrounded by expanses of land, sky and water overlooking the river and break land that is home to all varieties of South Dakota wildlife — deer, owls, coyote, fox, pheasant, turkey, and Canadian Geese. It is secluded by private access, but within a few minutes from local restaurants, boat ramps, hunting property, and Sutton Bay Golf Resort. |
